Clemons-Imle Scholarship Winners

Clemons-Imle Scholarship Winners

Congratulations to winners of the 2008 Spanish Fort Education Enrichment Foundation Clemons-Imle Scholarships, SFHS seniors Shaelah Walker and Ryan Matthew Volk.

The Spanish Fort Education Enrichment Foundation (SFEEF) created $500 academic scholarships for a senior male and female in graduating class from Spanish Fort High School (SFHS).  This award was created to honor Mr. Art Clemons and Mr. Bill Imle, two members of the community well known for their community service and kind spirit.  The award is based primarily on the student’s community service and leadership character traits demonstrated through their high school years.  It was an honor to have Mrs. Dana Clemons and Mrs. Sue Imle present the scholarships honoring their husbands who were great supporters of education through SFEEF. The award is also very special as it was given to this the first graduating class of Spanish Fort High School.

Shaelah Walker, daughter of David and Shelley Walker, is graduating with a 4.1785 weighted GPA and plans on attending Troy University or University of Alabama at Birmingham majoring in biology with a minor in psychology.  Shaelah has been active with Dogwood Trail Maids, Fellowship of Christian Athletics, Mu Alpha Theta, varsity cheerleading, tennis, swimming among her many other school and community activities
