2009 Clemons-Imle Scholarships Winners Announced

Congratulations to winners of the 2009 Spanish Fort Education Enrichment Foundation Clemons-Imle Scholarships, SFHS seniors Allison Woodham and Kent Warlick.

The Spanish Fort Education Enrichment Foundation (SFEEF) created $1000 academic scholarships for a senior male and female in graduating class from Spanish Fort High School (SFHS). This award was created to honor Mr. Art Clemons and Mr. Bill Imle, two members of the community well known for their community service and kind spirit. The award is based primarily on the student’s community service and leadership character traits demonstrated through their high school years. It was an honor to have Mrs. Dana Clemons and Mrs. Sue Imle, both teachers in Baldwin County, present the scholarships honoring their husbands who were great supporters of education through SFEEF.

Allison Woodham,daughter of Kim and Danny Woodham is graduating with a weighted 3.75 . She plans on attending The University of South Alabama with a major in Marine Biology. Some of Allison’s activities include People to People Student Ambassador, Homecoming Maid, National Honor Society, Color Guard, Yearbook Staff, Interact Club, and Beta Club.

Kent Warlick, the son of Tim and Nadine Warlick, graduates with a weighted 4.22 plans on attending Auburn University and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. His high school activities included Varsity cross county –All County, Varsity Soccer-All County, Varsity Track, Senior Class Officer, National Honor Society, Perfect Attendance (10-11), Channel 12TV Senior Producer, Toro-Charge Award, and much more.

Scholarships and Teacher Grants are made available through sponsorships of the SFEEF’s annual community concert “Fiesta” and the “Haulin’ Hooves Bull Run & Community Concert” as well as through donations to and membership in Spanish Fort Education Enrichment Foundation.
