2010 Clemmons-Imle Scholarship Winners
The Spanish Fort Educational Enrichment Foundation proudly presented the Clemmons-Imle Memorial Scholarship for High School Seniors to Emily Smith and Erik Gentry. The scholarship was created to honor Mr. Art Clemmons and Mr. Bill Imle, two highly respected members of the Spanish Fort community. One thousand dollars is awarded to both a male and female graduating senior, based upon the student’s community service and leadership traits demonstrated through their high school years.

Emily Smith, with a GPA of 4.3, is the 2010 female recipient of the Clemons-Imle Memorial Scholarship. Emily is the daughter of Joe and Dorothy Smith. She has been a Class Officer for 2 years, Dance Team Captain, National Spanish Honor Society Vice-President, and National Honor Society Treasurer. She volunteers with Special Olympics and as a Math and Spanish Tutor. She has taken all AP classes offered at SFHS. She plans on continuing her education at either Auburn University or The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Erik Gentry, the male recipient of the Clemoms-Imle Memorial Scholarship, is the son of Earl and Maureen Gentry and holds a 4.1 GPA on the advanced diploma. He has been a member of the Cross Country and Soccer teams, Scholar’s Bowl Captain, President of Baldwin County Model UN, a delegate to Boys State, Interact Club Board of Trustees and The National Honor Society. He is a worship team member of the Spanish Fort United Methodist Church and volunteers through the Mobile Infirmary Health Systems and Coastal Cleanup. Erik will continue his education at The University of Alabama or Louisiana State University.
